This is a screenshot* of the Nestle financials from 2012. The numbers are reported in millions. Do you see in the center where it says “Net income $11,375.00”? The number is $11,375,000,000. Also referred to as $11.4 billion. The previous two years’ profits were $10.8 billion and $8.5 billion.
“Net income” is the bottom-line profit, after the company pays all the salaries, materials, operating costs, etc., and income taxes.
