All stocks at Goodfellow LLC are chosen with strict fundamental criteria, featuring projected earnings growth, dividends, price-earnings ratios, and long-term debt ratios.  Stocks that make the cut are then screened for bullish technical charts.  My goal is to maximize capital gains while minimizing risk.

Goodfellow LLC Growth Stock Portfolio for 2014 Results — July 3, 2014

As of 07/03/14, eight stocks are up and four stocks are down.  The total portfolio** is up 8.39%.

Harman Int’l Industries (HAR) is up the most at +37.95%.

BorgWarner Inc. (BWA) is up +19.85%.

Sotheby’s (BID) is down the most at -21.05%.*

Stock changes within the portfolio:

  • Celgene Corp. (CELG) stock split two-for-one on June 25, 2014.
  • *Sotheby’s paid a special dividend in February of $4.34 per share, with a yield of 8.2% off the initial price of the stock on Dec. 31, 2013.

**Results assume equal dollar amounts purchased in each stock, rounded off to full shares, using the closing share prices on Dec. 31, 2013.  Totals include accumulated dividends through June 30, 2014.

The S&P 500 is up +7.42% from 1848.36 to 1985.44, from Dec. 31, 2013 through July 3, 2014.

 

Goodfellow LLC Growth & Income Stock Portfolio for 2014 Results — July 3, 2014

As of 07/03/14, eight stocks are up and three stocks are down.  The total portfolio* is up +8.79%.

Allegheny Technologies (ATI) is up the most at +29.75%.

LyondellBasell Industries (LYB) is up +24.15%.

Copa Holdings (CPA) is down the most at -9.31%.

*Results assume equal dollar amounts purchased in each stock, rounded off to full shares, using the closing share prices on Dec. 31, 2013.  Totals include accumulated dividends through June 30 2014.

Stock changes within the portfolio:

  • Union Pacific Corp. (UNP) stock split two-for-one on June 6, 2014.
  • Time Warner (TWX) spun off shares of Time Inc. (TIME) to shareholders on June 6, 2014.  The portfolio now owns shares in both stocks, and the 12/31/13 cost basis of TWX has been properly adjusted between the two stocks.

The Dow Jones Industrial Average is up +2.96% from 16,577 to 17,068, from Dec. 31, 2013 through July 3, 2014.
