* All Goodfellow LLC total returns include accumulated dividends. Stock market index returns do not include accumulated dividends.

Notes about the 2012 portfolios:

  • I started the 2012 portfolios during the last week of December 2011, because that week is typically bullish. After 2012, all the full-year portfolios begin with December 31st closing prices.
  • In 2012, there are several dividend stocks which appear in BOTH growth and growth & income portfolios. After 2012, there is no overlap between the full-year portfolios.

Goodfellow LLC Stock Selection Criteria

The goal of the Goodfellow LLC investment strategy is to outperform the DJIA and the S&P 500, while minimizing risk.  Thus, I employ a value stock strategy.

All stocks are screened via strict fundamental criteria, focused on current-year & future earnings per share growth, current year price/earnings ratio, current dividend yield, and long-term debt-to-capitalization ratio.  The stocks that pass the fundamental test are then screened for bullish charts.

All stocks are required to have analyst coverage, and must have a current trading range above $18 per share.  The model portfolios primarily contain American stocks, but international stocks are occasionally included in the portfolios.

These are unmanaged portfolios, designed to compete head-to-head with the unmanaged S&P 500 and DJIA stock market indices.
